EconoPlus (“we”) operates econoplus.ca, a weekly publication of local offers for the West Island and Montréal, operated by Elite Media Group. This policy describes how we collect, use and protect personal information under PIPEDA and Québec's Law 25.
At signup: your email only. Optionally — and rewarded with Plu$ Points: neighbourhood, interests and preferences. Automatically: platform interactions (offers viewed, saves, redemptions, in-store check-ins) and technical data (language, device type).
To deliver our offer drops, personalize your experience, measure merchant campaign performance (in aggregate), prevent redemption fraud, and send communications you've consented to. We never sell your personal information.
If you sign up through a merchant's QR code, your membership is attributed to that merchant: they may count you among their acquired customers and, with your consent, reach you through EconoPlus-approved communications. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
Every email contains an unsubscribe link. Notification preferences are managed in your account. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect your access to the platform.
Data is hosted in Canada or the United States with compliant processors (Supabase, Vercel, Resend). Encrypted transmission (HTTPS), least-privilege access, audit logs. Data is retained while your account is active, then deleted or anonymized within 24 months.
Access, correction, withdrawal, portability and de-indexing, per Law 25. Write to privacy@econoplus.ca. Our privacy officer responds within 30 days.
Essential cookies only: session, language and your saved-offers wallet. No third-party advertising trackers.
Working version adapted from the corporate policy framework — legal counsel review required before public launch.
